On December 12, 2007 I think I took 4 pregnancy tests. They were all positive! I could not believe it. I was going to be a Mommy again! Brooks was out of town at the time and I didn't want to tell him over the phone, so I had two very torturous days that I kept completely silent about. I was bursting to tell my secret!
Finally Brooks got home on Friday evening and I was so excited to say something. Our daughter had gone to bed, so it was just the two of us. We sat down on the couch and I said, "I want to tell you something!" And he says, "You're pregnant!" Now, I love my husband, but this was the SECOND time he guessed without me saying something! I was like, man, let me tell you for once! Almost the exact same scenario happened when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter. Only I didn't say anything at all. He just guessed. Anyway, we were both very excited and talked and talked about it!
I went to the doctor the day after Christmas. I love our doctor! He is a wonderful, Christian doctor and he's great! He delivered Anna Brooke and I feel so thankful and blessed that he will be caring for me & the baby this pregnancy, too! At my appointment they could not see the baby on the ultrasound, so I had to wait another 2 weeks and do it all over again. Finally, they saw the little butter bean, saw it's little heart beating and (how cool is this?) the brain forming! My due date was given: August 24, 2008.
So as of today I am 10 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I haven't been really that nauseated lately. However, I am still pretty sensitive to smells. All I really want to eat is bread and fruit. And chocolate, of course! I have been really tired, too. If I don't get to rest during Anna Brooke's nap, I'm pretty much out of commission by the time Brooks gets home. He's great about letting me go to bed early and stuff. I know he's tired, too, bless his heart.
Oh yeah, and did I forget to mention that my little sister is pregnant, too? She and her husband are expecting their first baby exactly one week after us: August 31! So my parents will go from having one grandchild to three! God is good!
I am so excited for yall! This new little one doesn't even know how blessed they are yet!
